GET Fund Announces First Close of Its Latest Fund to Back Green European Tech Startups

Munich/Berlin, July 2, 2024 – GET Fund (Green European Tech Fund), an impact venture capital firm, is pleased to announce the first close of its new fund dedicated to investing in innovative cleantech solutions and impactful businesses across the energy, mobility, ag&food, and industrial sectors.

A Commitment to Sustainable Growth and Innovation

Previously known as Munich Venture Partners, the team rebranded and now operates as GET Fund. The team has been at the forefront of cleantech and impact investing for more than 15 years, leveraging its expertise, a robust sustainability framework, as well as its extensive track record. Building upon a long history of ESG and impact investing, GET Fund classifies as an Article 9 SFDR fund. The team integrates a science-based impact framework based on the Triple Top Line to align the environmental and social impact of business models with the financial return expectations of venture capital investors.

The first close has been supported by a diverse group of investors including European Investment Fund, BNP Paribas, Sächsische Aufbaubank, German energy provider Yippie, automotive and industrial supplier Schaeffler, Japanese chemicals company Asahi Kasei, and Dr. Hettich all of whom recognize GET Fund’s distinct advantages. Current commitments to the fund sum up to €100 million.

Strategic Focus and Investment Plans

GET Fund plans to invest in up to 20 high-potential startups, providing them with the resources needed to scale and achieve market leadership. The fund will focus on Series A and B investments, supporting portfolio companies through multiple rounds of financing and strategic guidance. The investment focus is on hybrid hardware-software solutions that are both highly scalable and suitable for VC financing.
